BACKGROUND

Dave edits the Network section of IT Week and is also the first point of contact for reviews of hardware and software. He also has responsibility for IT Week’s regular Security Watch coverage of software vulnerabilities.

Dave joined IT Week in April 2000 as a Labs Analyst, working on product reviews.

Prior to IT Week, Dave spent five years in biochemistry research at University College London, specialising in carbohydrate function in prion diseases such as BSE, CJD and Alzheimers.

He has a BSC in applied chemistry from Huddersfield Polytechnic, an MSc in IT from Leicester Polytechnic and a doctorate in X-ray crystallography from Birkbeck College.
